How to Take Care of your Superga Sneakers

Box fresh white sneakers are a trend that’s here to stay. And for good reason. Clean and crisp, they are an easy way to elevate your look. But don’t worry, we get it…with life comes mess, and your shoes are often the first to bear the brunt. So here’s our easy guide on how to keep that new Superga sneaker feeling alive:
DIRT PREVENTION
Stain prevention is the key to prolonging the life of your Supergas. To do this, we recommend a shoe protector spray. Easy and quick-drying, products like Crep Protect Spray use an invisible coating which repels liquids and prevents stains. Simply, spray over the canvas of your canvas Cotu Classics and leave for 10 minutes before wearing.
SPOT CLEANING
To spot-treat stubborn marks try a foam-based stain remover like Vanish Preen Oxi Action Fabric Stain Remover. Always be sure to follow the product directions on the can. These stain remover products can be used for marks on Superga’s canvas, signature vulcanised rubber sole and foxing components of the shoe.
NOTE* When attempting to clean your Superga sneakers, test the cleaning product on a section of the sneaker which is not visible, such as the outer edges of the tongue.
CAN I PUT THEM IN THE WASHING MACHINE?
We DON’T recommend placing them in the washing machine. However, if you’re in a dirty sneaker crisis, you may be able to wash our Cotu Classic style.
The best way to do this is in a pillowcase, under a cool wash with a powder detergent (not liquid). Leave your laces on so you don’t lose the shape of the shoe and ensure you hang them to dry naturally, not on a heater.
*Please note that you are washing your Superga trainers at your own risk , the above is a guide only and we do not accept responsibility for any damage that may occur
